Jouissance.
The pleasure of text.

A digital interpretation of Roland Barthes's book "The Pleasure of Text", 1973. Jouissance is a research project that explores the experience of reading and the relevance of using text these days. The project questions our relationship with reading from theoretical, emotional and technological perspectives and offers practical solutions for dealing with textual material.

The text of bliss is about

Anticipation.

It is the skin flashing between the shirt buttons that is seductive, not the unveiling of the body itself.

ROLAND BARTHES    1973

An experiment in the essence of text.

The transition from page to screen is made in various levels of engagement, allowing the reader to decide how "deeply" they wish to interact with the text, an experience tailored for modern day readers.
